My ability to grasp this world has gone from bad to worse
After learning that we live in an endless universe
Infinity is just a word and not too clear to me
My own world is pretty much what you and I can see
But now we know that all these things for which I dearly care
Are not quite what they seem; they’re almost all just air
Molecules, and atoms too, aren’t solid sorts of things
Pictures of what’s inside of them show lots of colored rings
Electrons and other trons that no one yet has seen
Apparently they do exist with lots of space between
What gets me real excited and starts my heart to race
Is hearing people say that what looks like empty space
What is all this dark matter, it’s beyond my comprehension
And even among scientists causing serious consternation
No doubt there are many other things that haven’t yet been found
Some day we may wake up and find squares are really round
If anyone who reads this poem can help with my confusion
Please add some lines that take us to a sensible conclusion
Early 24 I liked it. Not circulated
